To ensure that our students are fully prepared to excel as personal trainers, the IC Fitness Club’s Personal Trainer Certification examination comprises three distinct assessments: Theoretical, Practical, and Viva. Each assessment is designed to evaluate different aspects of a student’s knowledge and practical skills, ensuring comprehensive competency in personal training.
1. Theoretical Examination (100 Marks)
The first stage of the assessment is the Theoretical Examination, which tests students’ understanding of the core concepts covered in the course, including exercise science, anatomy, nutrition, and client assessment. This exam is MCQ-based (Multiple Choice Questions) and is designed to gauge a student’s knowledge of essential fitness principles.
- Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Duration: 120 minutes
- Topics Covered: Exercise science, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, fitness programming, and client assessments
2. Practical Examination (100 Marks)
Once the theoretical exam is completed, students will take the Practical Examination under the supervision of our experienced Master Trainers. In this hands-on assessment, students are required to demonstrate their ability to design and implement safe and effective exercise programs tailored to the needs of different clients.
- Format: Practical demonstrations of exercise techniques, program design, and client management
- Supervision: Conducted by Master Trainers to ensure real-world application of learned skills

3. Viva Examination (100 Marks)
The final stage of the examination is the Viva Examination, which assesses the student’s ability to verbally explain their decisions, fitness concepts, and problem-solving approaches. Exam Day Procedure
