As we all know Delhi is facing immense temperature this year and Delhi’s Temperature has broken many records.
So, How can we tackle this immense heat ?
Its Quite simple. Hot temperature rises body temperature which can be severe or life threatening. To Avoid such critical situation our body excrete out water to maintain the body temperature.
Our body is made up of 70% water. So water is present in entire body; Brain; Plasma, Cells etc.
When our body sweats, fluid in the body decreases; water from plasma, cells, and tissues.
as plasma volume drops blood becomes thick and it becomes hard to circulate that.
So Keeping yourself hydrated is very important in these hot days.
However, water is not sufficient to keep you hydrated. our body also holds electrolytes which helps nerves to work properly. Electrolytes are minerals in your blood and other body fluids that carry an electric charge. When our body sweats out, electrolytes also leak out that why a black shirt become white after workout.
So as much we will sweats out, the more electrolytes will be lost from the body.
There are three major electrolytes in the body: Sodium, Potassium & Chloride.
So, Its better to take water dissolved with salt rather then plain water. Salt contains great amount of Sodium & Chloride. You can also add lemon to water to avoid Oxidative stress being caused by too much heat and to add some kind of flavor.
